1-hour Video Call

1-hour video call sessions are useful to provide you with immediate safety advice concerning your dog's behaviour when you can't wait for a behaviour consultation. These sessions can also be used to discuss minor behaviour concerns or advice relating to introducing a new dog to your home.

What's included?

This is held remotely (e.g. over Google Meet). This can be booked in addition to the ‘behaviour consultation package’ if you need immediate advice and cannot wait for the behaviour consultation, for example, if your dog is showing aggressive behaviour towards people or other animals in the household. The video call will not be suitable as a stand-alone service for you if your dog has multiple or severe behaviour issues that need a tailored, in-depth plan created for you. As such, it’s best suited so I can provide immediate advice to you before you receive a full behaviour consultation (as included in the ‘behaviour consultation package’). If you're not sure what type of service is right for you, get in touch here.

This session can also be useful if your dog has a single behaviour issue that doesn't need an in-depth tailored plan.

For example, this session can be used to discuss:

  • How to manage your dog during firework season in future (if this is the only issue),

  • How to encourage your dog to feel relaxed with car journeys (if this is the only issue),

  • How to teach your dog to cope with nail clipping (if this is the only issue),

  • How to introduce your new puppy or rescue dog to your home, or

  • How to choose the right puppy for you.

This is also useful if you would just like to chat with me to receive some general advice or ask questions concerning your dog’s behaviour or training.

During the session, I ask you lots of questions regarding your dog, their history, background and behaviour. I then discuss strategies for you to help manage the behaviour, especially relating to any safety risks involved. You will then be sent a tailored written summary over email and post, providing advice on how to manage your dog’s behaviour and safety. A copy of this will also be sent to your referring vet. If you wish to discuss how to introduce a new dog or puppy, then we can spend the session discussing your current circumstances, what type of dog may be best suited for you, and ways to introduce your dog best to help them feel as relaxed as possible.

The video call will NOT be suitable as a stand-alone service if your dog has multiple or severe behaviour issues that need a tailored, in-depth plan created for you.

The video call requires an investment of £60, and can then be added to the full behaviour consultation package if you need further support with your dog's behaviour.

If you have pet insurance, you may be able to claim this fee, depending on your insurance policy.

I will need your vet to refer your dog/s to me before I can make any behaviour assessment or provide you with any advice (unless you have not yet acquired your dog).

Once you've booked a video call with me, you will be sent a questionnaire for you to fill in regarding your dog's behaviour. This will need to be submitted at least 48 hours before the consultation.

Please ensure you have read and understand my terms and conditions before booking, paying particular attention to my cancellation and re-arrangement policy. If you book a service with me, it's taken that you agree to these terms. Please note that I am currently only available to provide my services at weekends or weekday evenings.

If you would like more information about my services before booking, then please get in touch here. Otherwise, if you'd like to book a first-aid call with me, please fill in the form here.

What you get:

  • A video call lasting 1 hour. During the session, I ask lots of questions regarding your dog, their history, background and behaviour. I then discuss strategies for you to help manage the behaviour, especially relating to any safety risks.

  • You will then be sent a tailored written summary over email and post (usually around 2-3 pages long), providing advice on how to manage your dog’s behaviour and safety. A copy of this will also be sent to your referring vet.
